My goodness gracious, the Pokemanz are multiple.

As many of you know, my birthday was last Wednesday, and I figured I should write a journal in order to specifically thank everybody who gave me gifts C:

DryBones44 got me Pokemon White, and though I've never owned a Pokemon game before, I can now officially proclaim that I am freaking OBSESSED. I'm so glad there's a game out there that makes turn-based fighting actually work. For the past week I've been walking aimlessly around, babbling about shinies and gyms and teams and whetever the hell else you can think of. So yeah. Totally in love. Thank you, Derek, for turning me on to what is arguably one of the best handheld games I've played in the past year, right next to Professor Layton.

gaara700, to commemorate my newfound love of Pokemon, drew me a really badass card featuring the male trainer from Soul Silver along with a MUDKIIIIIIIIIIIIP. Thanks so much for the great artwork, and whatever you do, DON'T feel bad about not getting me anything else. You friendship is all I could ask for

Reyntime gave me Pikmin 2, a game that's been lurking at the bottom of my "to buy" list for months but I haven't been able to track down due to the fact that's it's apparently a rare cult classic. Somehow, she was able to magically find a copy at Gamestop and give it to me, and I can say so far that this game is incredible. Though I've only played it for about an hour so far, I'm already way into it, loving the puzzles and real-time strategy gameplay. Plus, the expressions that the characters make are amazing. "IT'S A LEAF." (gurrhurrinsidejoke) Anyway. Thanks a bunch tobi! Also, I was deeply moved be the card you gave me ^^

My friend Noah (who doesn't have a dA account) got me an effing BOO PLUSHIE, imported straight from Japan. IT IS SO WONDERFUL. I haven't let go of the thing for two straight days. As a reference to an old videogame that nobody will understand, I've decided to name him Stanley. YEYYYYY.

My parents gave me a lot to be thankful for as well. Not only have they promised to pay for half of my 3DS when it comes out, but they have also given me the liberty to pick any one free game of my choice. THANK YOU FOR BEING AWESOME MOMMY AND DADDY. So here's where I need you guys to weigh in: which game should I choose??

I also want to thank all my Hatena fans for making me tons of wonderful birthday Flipnotes C: Even if I didn't comment, I was touched by every one. YOU GUYS ARE THE COOLEST.

Plus, hordes of people here on dA gave me Llama Badges and a couple even gave me points, so thank you guys too~

Here I'm going to end this bout of joy and happiness and talk quickly about the current state of Japan. As most of you know, they recently had a humongous earthquake, the biggest one in Japanese history, followed by a tsunami that destroyed hundreds of buildings and houses. So I want to respectfully tell you guys to try and donate at least $10 to the Red Cross. Trust me, it all adds up C:
